Connecting Faith with Real Life

Holy Land Tour Father Dave Heney

Holy Land Pilgrimage with Father Dave: Home Page

Our 2024 trip to the Holy Land will be postponed until June 2025.

Join me June 11-23, 2024 for a walk in the footsteps of the Lord!

When you meet Jesus you cannot stay the same, and when you walk where Jesus walked, you meet Him in a most very special way.

I am inviting you to join me for an exciting trip to the Holy Land in June 2023, to visit and investigate the places you might have only read about in the scriptures. The impact of seeing these scriptural places is a teaching in itself and forms what many have called “The Fifth Gospel.” Nothing can take the place of a personal experience and I would like to invite you to join me in seeing and walking in the very places where Jesus lived.

Our twelve day trip will have a special emphasis on the archaeological information available for each site. Our guides have special expertise in this important scientific area. I know they will be highly informative whether you are already familiar or brand new to the field of archaeology.

This is a well planned trip by my friends at George’s International Tours, which was founded in 1931 in Jerusalem. They are a trusted and reliable company that for years planned many trips for our Archdiocese to this same area.

Download the Holy Land Pilgrimage Brochure here >>

More and more people are returning to the Holy Land now as the prospects for long term peace become a reality. That is why I cannot resist the chance to visit again the place where Jesus Himself revealed, in actual historical places that we will see, the plan for the salvation of the world.

I hope you will join me there!

Good Bless!
Fr. Dave

Father Dave, my family misses you greatly and we hope you are well and writing up a storm. I was sad to hear that Father Joe was ailing and our family will pray harder than ever for him. Before his current trouble he had promised to be our celebrant when Stacy and I renew our vows on 3/7/2015. If he is unable to do this, is there any chance that you could be our celebrant, our should I ask Father Michael? By the way, I tried to write this on your front page but I got an error message when I said that 1+1 equals 2. Perhaps I am not thinking spiritually enough?

Thanks so much for your comments! I will try to find out about the error message you received. Let’s stay in touch about the March 7th date. I don’t know my schedule yet, as I will be spending time next year at Notre Dame University. IF I am in town, I would be honored to be there! Fr. Dave

    Dear Father Dave,
You may not remember me since I am not Catholic and I’m not a regular attendee of the Church’s services. My wife, Cathy Guyadeen, you may remember.

I just want to let you know that every Mass that I attended where you were the preacher, I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m not big into going to church but had always looked forward to your sermons. You have that innate ability to “talk” to your congregation while simultaneously imparting key components of what being a Christian is all about.

Only ONE other minister/priest/reverend has had such a profound impact on me with his delivery of God’s message – Reverend Albert Baldeo, a Presbyterian minister, who was our Reverend when I was a young boy growing up in Trinidad.

I just thought that I’d let you know, and that this non-Catholic enjoyed listening to you “spread the word.”

May God bless you and may you continually impact the lives of many others.

    Respectfully,
    Guy Guyadeen

    Hi Father Dave,

My mom lives in Las Vegas but is very interested in going on this trip. Is there still space for the two of us? She will get the itinerary and application on Monday and I don’t want her to miss out. She is very excited as am I.

This is a definite “go” for us space allowing.

    Thanks

YEs, we still have a few spaces left on the trip this year. All of the information, of course, is on my website at daveheney.com. It is my favorite event all year, and I cannot wait to go again this year!

    Thanks Father Dave,
Your words give me hope. Also we must remember to teach history to our children and grandchildren that Islam as a religion was spread by the sword, even the first Arabs submitted to Allah of Muhammad when he himself, Muhammad, returned to Medina, and the whole city accepted himself, and so the Arabic empire was created as they conqueried people by the sword and submission. So today it’s destruction again. But today the peaceful follower of the Islam religion must join forces to defeat the radicals. So far I see no end in sight, other than praying.

I actually believe that this brand of radical Islam will flame out in a few years. It just cannot withstand the tide of history that is going in another direction.

    Dear Father Dave;
You are now in the middle of your 2016 Holy Land Tour (I hope!). I’m wondering if you are planning to do a tour in 2016? If so, do you have any dates set at this time?

Yes, I lead a tour every year. Our first was in 2006 and we never miss going. We will go in Mid June, probably from June 13 to 25, give or take a day or two. The final dates will not ready until late July when the airlines release their group package rates. Just check in on my website at daveheney.com for updates throughout the the summer.

Wow, a wonderful wonderful trip. The Gospel comes alive for me every day now as I travel the roads with Jesus. Having placed my feet where He trod, stood where He was born, and cried where He died, it was all so overwhelming.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

Hello father Dave, I wanted to go on pilgrimage with your group, but I saw the pictures of the hotels, beautiful, but… I had hoped to stay at some Christian family, can be quite simple; not in a luxurious hotel. But I guess it is not practical.
I am Angeline’s mother, from Camarillo, remember?
    God Bless,

Thank you for your message. For some reason we had an unexpectedly larger group of people interested about next year’s trip, and so people have been calling in very earlier than usual. We take the names in order. Hopefully you will receive a message if there is still room.

I hope you are doing well! I was following your recent trip via posts on Facebook from friends who were with you. It looks like it was another fabulous experience! Now that I am fully retired from teaching I can finally make plans to travel in June! Mark and I are interested in going on the 2023 trip to the Holy Lands. How can I get more information and find out how to be added to the list?
