Gospel Reflections for January 26 2025

School Open House and University Series

In today’s Gospel, Jesus delivers His own “Inaugural address” and reveals amazing things He has already accomplished! He has brought “Glad tidings to the poor, Liberty to captives, and Recovery of sight to the blind.” Since that time, the Church has happily followed His plan … also with great success.

Catholic Hospitals today are the largest private healthcare system in the United States and Catholic Schools are the largest private educational system. The Church worldwide operates more than 140,000 schools, 10,000 orphanages, 5,000 hospitals and some 16,000 other health clinics making the Catholic Church the largest world-wide aid agency anywhere.

All of this is provided entirely by donations from people like yourself. You can be proud to be a part of this amazing worldwide outreach! You continue to help to make great things happen.

We teach these same values here at St. Bruno’s school, along with science, mathematics, history, and language. However, we add one subject that public schools cannot. We study the person of Jesus, who first gave that speech years ago, and inspired all of these amazing world-wide projects.

This week is Catholic Schools Week throughout the Archdiocese. This Sunday morning we invite you to visit our own St. Bruno School classrooms and meet our school staff. (10am to Noon) We are proud to showcase our exceptional educational facilities and faculty. Our School also has a Pancake Breakfast for you Sunday morning in the Hall!

On the weekend of February 9th you will receive our 2025 University Series Catalogs, offering over 40 sessions that connect faith with real life. Like last year, classes will be at St. Bruno, Beatitudes, and St. Mary’s parishes.

You can also pre-register online that weekend at theuniversityseries.org. Classes are $8 at the door …or only $5 pre-registered. You can also get an All Classes Pass for only $80 …a $135 value.

Always remember that your entry fee lets you bring any guest for free!

We are proud to showcase our parish school and our University Series programs. Children can learn about Jesus, and adults can learn about our faith in a setting that offers great insights and welcomes your questions, so that your every need is met, just as Our Lord spoke about in His amazing speech in today’s Gospel.

God Bless!
