EXCELLENT piece – just copied it so I can pass it on when the opportunity arises – this should be a pamphlet that can be posted in the vestibule of our churches.
Are you able to get one of our Catholic publishing houses to produce it and make it available that way? Blessings, Patty

Good idea. I should send it to a good publisher. I am glad you found it helpful.

I’m in this situation. I don’t fear death though I fear a painful end. My mind is on my beloved wife of 61 years with whom I pray that I am reunited. She was my life and love. I know she’s in heaven. Not a Saint, but in my eyes close to it.

My “desert walk” lasted a long time – a period of deep sorrow, suffering and emotional pain – but I ended up picking up my Catholic husband’s bible. I randomly flipped it open, with my eyes shut praying, “I know there is only one God, please tell me what to do, I am at my wits’ end”…..it opened up to a Sermon by Jesus. On the Mount. I actually had to ask my cradle-Catholic husband, “What does Beatitude mean?” And as often happens, he said,” Hm, don’t really know for sure, let’s look it up…” THAT DAY is a significant day, I offered up my misery, pain and anguish to God. He answered,… in due time. As I now say, “He made me “see”, for I was blind (to His Truths).” If God is permitting you a certain desert walk, may you seek and may He grant the graces needed to “see” what He is trying to bring about in your own spiritual walk up the holy mountain.

Amazing that you opened the bible to the Beatitudes! No better place to start your journey.
